Meet the people who make CTC a home. Our Rabbi, Rebbetzin, and lay leadership bring decades of experience, deep Torah knowledge, and genuine love for every member of our community.
Rabbi Chanoch Oppenheim brings over 30 years of Torah education, Jewish outreach, and pastoral leadership to his role. A native of New York, he earned his B.A. in Philosophy from Columbia University and received rabbinical ordination from Rav Yitzchak Kulitz, Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem. Rabbi Oppenheim also serves as Chaplain in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Rebbetzin Sara Oppenheim brings warmth, creativity, and visionary leadership to CTC. At CTC since 2008, Sara oversees programming, strategy, events, and day-to-day operations. She is the founder and director of WOW Charlotte (Women of Wisdom) and a graduate of the CORE Leadership Program.
Andy Dinkin brings passion, professionalism, and strategic vision to his role as President of CTC. He is the President of THE SEALS, former Board Chairman of Girls on the Run International, and author of Going Pro in Life.
The Charlotte Torah Center began with a simple but powerful vision: to make Jewish learning accessible, relevant, and alive. What started as intimate Torah discussions around a dining room table has grown into a vibrant community of families and individuals who seek to live with purpose, connection, and joy.
From weekly classes and spirited holiday celebrations to thoughtful discussions and shared meals, the Charlotte Torah Center has become a place where Judaism is experienced, not just studied. Every person who walks through our doors is welcomed with warmth, respect, and genuine curiosity. WHEN ARE SHABBAT SERVICES? Mincha & Kabbalat Shabbat begins 10 minutes after candle lighting. Shabbat Morning Shacharit is at 9:30 AM, followed by Kiddush.
IS THERE PARKING? Free parking is available at 5337 Providence Road. The building is easily accessible from the parking lot.
